TURNING FOUR (2, 5 & 6 DECEMBER 2008)

Mommy asked how I'd like to celebrate my birthday this year, and I chose to celebrate it with my GUG classmates, just like last year. Mommy took me to Coffee Bean and I picked out my own cake - Candy Heaven, a white chocolate and raspberry cake laced with heaps of candies.


On 2 December, 4 days before I actually turned 4, I had my birthday party in class. Su Ann attended the party as well, and it was like "Show & Tell" with my baby sister as the centrepiece. Everyone crowded round to pat her.


On 6 December (my birthday), Grandpa Eddy and Grandma Nancy bought me dinner at Safra Sea Sports Centre (great playground they have there!), a strawberry shortcake from Bakerzinn and some new outfits. Daddy and Mommy bought me a new dressing table playset. Ah Gong and Ah Ma had other engagements on 6 December, so they took me out for an a-la-carte buffet dinner at Raffles Marina a night earlier. As usual, we stuffed ourselves silly there.

SWIMMING WITH ALEXIS

Thanks to Alexis, who's in my swim class, I can now jump into the pool and move around in the water with confidence. Ah Gong doesn't accompany me into the pool anymore. Alexis is a year older and she's a stronger swimmer than me. She's always full of encouragement for me.


It's a joy attending swim class with Alexis and hanging out with her and her younger sister, Alicia, at the playground after class. Mommy says that I'm on the waitlist for a swim class next term, and even if I get a slot, I may not be in the same class as Alexis anymore. Oh dear! What am I going to do without my pillar of strength?
