On Tuesday night, the whole family had dinner at Phin's Steakhouse along Liang Seah Street. They serve sirloin steak from S$9.90. Not a bad deal! Sri ordered a sirloin steak with spicy sambal sauce. It was served on a hotplate and the sizzling sambal caused such "noxious" fumes (yeah, the up-your-nose-sting-your-eyes-choke-till-you-drop kind of fumes) that the whole restaurant, including the waiter who served the dish had to run outside the restaurant for air! It was hilarious... but the no-sense-of-humour people from the other tables didn't find it quite as funny.
After dinner, we took a walk to the DHL Balloon. On a clear day, I can see the DHL Balloon up in the air from my house. I've therefore always been fascinated by it. Whenever we drive past it, I'll yell: "Look at the Balloon!" Thus, Mommy thought it would be a good idea to take me up in the Balloon on Tuesday night. But when we got there, I didn't want to go on the Balloon. I was afraid that the Balloon would burst! We just stayed on the ground to watch the Balloon take off and land instead.
Daddy bought apple strudel from a shop opposite the Balloon and I had it for dessert when we got home. Yummy!
On Wednesday, the whole family piled into the car to go to the airport. It was the dress rehearsal for my trip to Adelaide tonight. Nah... Chia Ah Yee and Uncle Craig were on transit at Changi Airport for 3 hrs on Wednesday night and we had to deliver some important things to them (eg Chia Ah Yee's wedding gown, etc.) We had dinner at the staff canteen at Terminal One, then Mommy took me on the Skytrain to Terminal Two, before transferring to the free shuttle bus to the Budget Terminal. Chia Ah Yee and Uncle Craig were flying Tiger Airways to Darwin to see Uncle Craig's family.
At the Budget Terminal, I met a little girl named Chloe. She was 2 yrs 1 mth old. We played run-about in the Budget Terminal together, whilst the adults busied themselves at the check-in counter. I ran round and round so much that I felt dizzy. When we got home, I puked all over the floor and Mommy's pants.
Today is the day I'll be travelling to Adelaide with Ah Gong and Ah Ma. We'll be heading to the airport in an hour's time. Ah Gong has promised me the beach, animals, that I'll be a flowergirl, etc. when we get to Oz, so naturally, I'm all excited about the trip. Mommy and Daddy are feeling really lousy though. They're going to miss me sooooo much! I must remember to bring them some souvenirs when I get home.
