MY 2nd BIRTHDAY PARTY (3 DECEMBER 2006)
My snow-obsessed parents talked about taking me to a ski resort for my 2nd birthday, but it didn't materialise. Instead, they got their club booked for the Vibes '06 War & Peace party (http://vibes.osmusic.org/blog/) on my birthday (6 December) and can't even spend that night with me! Humph!
To redeem themselves, they decided to organize a birthday party for me on 3 December (Sunday). I had an awesome time! In all, about 30 kids came to celebrate the occasion with me, and they brought along 50 adults and lotsa lotsa presents! Mommy transformed the living room into a playroom with all my toys. There was a magic show, wacky balloon twisting session, a creamy Care Bear birthday cake picked by me and way, way, way, too much food.
My classmates from Shichida school, Xiaotong, Chaska, Faith and Luke were here, and so was my ex-classmate, Sheldon. Turns out that my grandaunt was Sheldon's mommy's teacher, and they ran into each other at my party. What a small world! I started attending Shichida school when I was 7 mths old, and Sheldon was in my class. We used to play together every week until he stopped coming to class about 2 mths ago. I missed him a lot and was so pleasantly surprised to see him today that I had to give his head a rub! Can't help myself, he's got such a "rubbable" head! Hehe.
A few of my playmates from the SGParenting forum - Ryan, Claris, Glenn, Greta, Bryan, Andrew, Aldrick and Alphonsus were also here. Ryan and Claris made cards for me. I wish I could be as good as them in art and craft! They're so talented! They gave me a crayon set, so I'm going to try to let loose the Van Gogh in me tomorrow. Can't wait to doodle all over the walls and furniture! They also gave me a Teach Me French set to help me improve mon francais. At the moment, I can only count from un to dix and understand a few other words like bonjour, fille, garcon, etc., so I've got a lot more to learn. Alphonsus, my good pal, gave me a memory game set and a huge teddy bear. I'm so gonna love my new teddy to bits!
My friends, Rae Ann, Ashley, Cayden, Aaron and RuiYing were also here. Ashley went on stage during the magic show and got gold coins pulled out from behind her ears by the magician! Baby Lucas came too. He's probably the youngest one at my party.
Cousins Aldon, Therese, Nicholas, Joshua, Mark, Rachel, Emmalyn and Katelyn came too. I also made some new friends today. Grandma Nancy's friend, Mrs Tan, brought her grandchildren. I had so much fun playing with everyone.
After everyone had gone home, I opened my presents. I love them all! New clothes, new toys, new new books and even jewellery! Sure beats going on a ski holiday... Thank you everyone for coming to my party, and making it a very memorable 2nd birthday for me!
